Two lines of research were defined for the proposed course. Below are the descriptions of each one of them.
I. Organizations and Society: This line of research is constituted by a plurality of theoretical-analytical-methodological perspectives to understand the impacts of organizations on society and subjects, as well as the impacts of society and subjects in organizations. Interdisciplinary dialogue is encouraged by, for example, sociology, anthropology, psychology, management; And a concern with the local context, especially with its cultural aspects. The theoretical-methodological, conceptual and empirical debates about organizations, the processes linked to them and their interface with social management are of interest. Dedicated to the analysis of the productive activity of the semiarid region with emphasis on agents and social and economic organizations, forms of cooperation and conflicts between individuals, configured in different production modes of organization.
II. Management, Innovation and Entrepreneurship: This research line has as main object of research the issues related to development in the Semiarid region, with a particular attention to the questioning of their environmental and / or economic impacts. The line includes studies on the spatial distribution of economic activities in the region, innovation, sustainability, functioning of markets, business and decision-making strategies, modeling of dynamic systems, agro-industrial chains and expansion of the agribusiness border.
