The course will have an annual offer through a selection process that will be carried out according to a specific standard, created and approved by the PPGDiDeS Collegiate, which must present all the rules and criteria that will be present in the edict that will govern it. During the course of 24 months of course, subjects will be offered that include interdisciplinary training of professionals able to interpret and act not only on the technical dimension, but also in the economic, social, cultural and environmental dimensions, allowing the consolidation of skills and abilities to understanding of social reality impacted by public and private organizations and social movements of the Semiarid, thereby complementing the technical, humanistic and interdisciplinary interfaces of graduates from different areas of knowledge that operate in the semiarid region.

Of the 60 credits required to for the course, 34 will be in compulsory courses and 26 in elective courses. The course will last at least 12 months and maximum 24 months. The achievement in the disciplines and other activities of the program will be evaluated by means of tests, individual research works or another process, at the discretion of the teacher responsible for the discipline, according to the following classification: A - excellent = 9.0 to 10, 0; With right to credit; B = good = 8.0 to 8.9; With right to credit; C-regular = 7.0 to 7.9; With right to credit; D - insufficient = 0 to 6.9; Without the right to credit.
